Description

Required qualifications:

• UEFI secure boot on x86, including key management and module signing
• Full disk encryption on Linux (LUKS2, ideally with TPM2)
• Solid understanding of the x86/UEFI boot process
• USB protocol and device classes (HID, CDC, UVC, UAC, mass storage)
• udev rules
• Kernel module development and kernel compilation
• Strong C, plus Bash and Python

Requirements:

• 5-6+ years of Embedded Linux engineering experience
• Financial services industry experience preferred
• Strong Linux engineering background (client noted previous resource was too development-focused)
• Experience developing and supporting embedded Linux systems
• Strong written communication and documentation skills
• Comfortable working directly with clients and translating engineering requirements into solutions

Project Environment:

• Embedded Linux device used for VoIP/audio communications
• Advanced user interface running on x86 Intel-based hardware
• Ubuntu Core environment and custom Linux platform development
• Work closely with electrical engineers designing hardware and internal Linux/software engineering teams
• Responsible for solving engineering challenges while adhering to product requirements and design guidelines
• Weekly meetings with end-client engineering teams
