Good to Have Skills: Experience with virtualization technologies (Xen, KVM, Hyper-V, container environments), exposure to post-silicon bring-up and system validation flows, experience with competitive benchmarking methodologies and customer-facing documentation, debug expertise at system level and SoC level. Knowledge of Android and virtualized stacks, familiarity with benchmarks like SPEC, 3DMark, PCMark, GFXBench, MLPerf, MobileMark, browser benchmarks, and multimedia workloads.

• Execute and own system performance including low level profiling and bottleneck analysis on AMD's SoCs, focusing on Linux, Windows, FreeRTOS and virtualized software stacks for Robotics, automotive and industrial applications.
• Perform benchmark characterization, system-level tuning, micro architecture and workload analysis across CPU, GPU, NPU, AI and memory subsystems.
• Collaborate with SoC architects, BIOS/FW teams, and software developers to identify performance gaps and recommend optimizations for improved system performance.
• Generate comprehensive technical reports, dashboards, and documentation for leadership reviews, customer engagements, and outbound collateral to communicate findings effectively.
• Contribute to automation for benchmark execution, data collection, and results visualization to improve efficiency and accuracy of testing processes.
• Work with cross-functional teams to debug system-level issues blocking performance goals and ensure successful project delivery.
• Drive competitive benchmarking initiatives by running workloads on competitive platforms and building comparative landscapes across various market segments.
• Build comparative performance landscapes across segments including client, embedded, server, industrial, and automotive to provide comprehensive market analysis.
• Provide actionable insights that help influence future SoC, firmware, and platform design decisions based on competitive analysis and performance data.
• Support development of automation for benchmark execution, data collection, and results visualization to streamline performance analysis workflows.
• Foster continuous improvement and innovation within validation and performance analysis environments to maintain competitive advantage.

Experience Required: 10-14+ years of relevant experience in system performance engineering, profiling, bottleneck analysis, or post-silicon validation. Strong hands-on experience with Linux system performance analysis and expert knowledge in Linux internals including scheduling, memory management, Real Time systems, QoS Tuning. Hands-on experience with performance profiling tools such as Perf, valgrind, LTTng, perfetto, Trace Compass, wireshark, Nsight, Vtune, Oprofile, Flameghraphs, GPU Perf studio. Strong understanding of x86 SoC architecture, CPU/GPU/NPU performance, memory hierarchy, PCIe, BIOS/FW interactions, and system-level behavior.

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
