Description

You will develop and maintain embedded Linux software, kernel device drivers, and multi-threaded applications while performing board bring-up and cross-platform debugging.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded Linux software and Linux kernel device drivers.
• Perform board bring-up, cross-platform debugging, and kernel log analysis.
• Build multi-threaded and multi-process applications using C.
• Prepare design documents, specifications, test plans, and test reports.
• Use Yocto, Buildroot, and other Linux build systems for image creation.

Required Skills

• 3–4 years of hands-on embedded software development in C.
• 3+ years of experience with Linux kernel and device drivers.
• Strong understanding of OS fundamentals and multi-threading concepts.
• Experience with embedded Linux build systems (Yocto/Buildroot).
• Strong debugging skills including crash analysis, system locks, and resets.
• Proficiency with Git, CVS, JIRA, Bitbucket, SourceTree, and Confluence.
• Familiarity with Host–Target toolchains and debugging tools (JTAG, TRACE32, ICE, ICD, oscilloscopes).
• Ability to read schematics, datasheets, and technical reference manuals.
