Description

You will develop and maintain embedded software for unmanned robotic vehicles, owning the full software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded applications for unmanned robotic vehicles using C and C++.
• Diagnose and correct defects in fielded systems and support deployed embedded systems.
• Participate in systems engineering to ensure software integration with vehicle control, actuators, and perception sensors.
• Implement requirements related to controls systems and device drivers.
• Adhere to SOLID principles and design patterns in large, multi-threaded applications running on an RTOS.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Embedded software Engineering.
• Proficiency in C and C++.
• Experience with large, multi-threaded embedded applications running on an RTOS.
• Knowledge of communication protocols including TCP, UDP, CAN, SPI, and RS232.
• Familiarity with Robot Operating System (ROS/ROS2).
• Experience interfacing with sensors like GPS, LIDAR, RADAR, and ultra-sonics.
• Understanding of controls systems and device drivers for embedded systems.
• Adherence to SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Experience with distributed version control systems.
