Description

Design and debug embedded software for Distribution and Industrial product lines. You will own firmware features, integrate system packages, and ensure release readiness.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded software and firmware for specific hardware requirements.
• Integrate software packages with existing systems and subsystems.
• Prepare unit test and regression test specifications and templates.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to meet project requirements.
• Maintain engineering documentation including design documents, code reviews, and release reports.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of embedded development experience.
• Proficiency in real-time embedded software engineering using C/C++.
• Experience with RTOS such as TI-RTOS, FreeRTOS, ThreadX, or VxWorks.
• Development of communication stacks and application firmware.
• Knowledge of hardware/software interfacing and real-time design considerations.
• Experience with fast network/data interfaces including 1G/10G Ethernet and PCIe.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity constructs, static analysis, and digital signatures.
• Knowledge of Agile software development practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing multi-threaded/multitasking real-time applications.
• Expertise in designing power system-related application software modules.
• Debugging code using emulators, simulators, and software analysis tools.
