Description

Develop embedded applications focusing on networking protocols and Linux systems. Own the design, implementation, and delivery of software components for specialized hardware.

Responsibilities

• Write design and functional specifications for embedded software.
• Develop embedded applications using C for specialized hardware.
• Implement networking features including L2/L3, tunneling, routing, and switching.
• Utilize build systems and cross-compilation tools for embedded environments.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver software components.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Strong proficiency in C for embedded systems development.
• Deep understanding of computer networking (L2/L3, tunneling, routing, and switching).
• Advanced Linux user skills with experience using networking tools and utilities.
• Proficiency with Bash, Autotools, and CMake.
• Experience with cross-compilation for embedded systems.
• Experience with embedded Linux build systems such as Yocto or Buildroot.
• Working knowledge of Python.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SAI/SONiC implementation and integration.
• Understanding of ASIC (L2/L3 chip) network pipelines and optical transports.
• Background in kernel development or working with open source projects.
