Description

You will develop mission-critical, real-time embedded software for aerospace and defense systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Support all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements development and architecture design.
• Code, unit test, and integrate real-time embedded software applications in C/C++.
• Develop, debug, and maintain real-time embedded applications across the system.
• Ensure software compliance with established standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with hardware, systems, and test engineering teams on integration and verification.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in embedded software development.
• Proficiency in object-oriented C/C++ development on Linux.
• Hands-on experience with RTOS environments (VxWorks, Integrity, LynxOS, Yocto Linux, or similar).
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Active DoD Secret clearance (granted or renewed within the last 5 years).
• Experience with Linux and Unit Testing frameworks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PowerPC, ARM, or RISC-V architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) or Real-Time Computer-in-the-Loop (CIL) integration environments.
