Description

You will design, implement, and test real-time firmware for motor control applications including BLDC, PMSM, and stepper motors.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize control algorithms such as Field-Oriented Control (FOC), Direct Torque Control (DTC), or sensorless techniques.
• Integrate firmware with hardware platforms including microcontrollers, DSPs, and FPGAs.
• Optimize firmware performance for efficiency, speed, and power management.
• Debug firmware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and emulators, performing hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and system-level testing.
• Write detailed design documentation, architecture diagrams, and specifications while ensuring compliance with standards like MISRA C.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in embedded software development.
• Strong programming skills in C and C++.
• Hands-on experience with microcontrollers (STM32, Nuvoton) and Digital Signal Processors (DSPs).
• Proficiency in motor control principles, including torque/speed control, PWM, and power electronics.
• Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and interrupt-driven programming.
• Working knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, SPI, I2C, and UART.
• Experience using MATLAB/Simulink for designing and verifying control strategies.
• Familiarity with debugging tools including JTAG and oscilloscopes.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with EV-specific challenges including high-voltage systems, thermal management, and EMI/EMC mitigation.
