Job Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with an avionics and electrical background to support aircraft modifications, alterations, troubleshooting, and engineering activities. The role spans embedded software development, electrical design support, aircraft data analysis, diagnostic tool development, and sustaining engineering for aircraft systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Support aircraft modifications and alteration projects through electrical design and embedded software engineering
• Develop, maintain, and enhance aircraft data management and diagnostic tools
• Create and sustain aircraft configuration data (CMF) and related engineering data
• Perform advanced aircraft troubleshooting using data analysis and detailed system knowledge
• Conduct root cause and corrective action (RCCA) analysis for aircraft system and component failures
• Analyze aircraft data to identify system issues and improvement opportunities
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and suppliers to resolve technical issues

Required Skills

• Embedded software development and coding (C/C++)
• Avionics and aircraft systems knowledge
• Aircraft diagnostic tool development
• Electrical design and modification engineering
• Software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing, verification, and validation
• Aircraft data analysis and root cause analysis (RCCA)
• Linux development environment
• Version control tools: Git, SVN, or TFS

Preferred Skills

• MATLAB or similar engineering tools
• Aircraft sustaining engineering experience
• Cross-functional team collaboration and supplier coordination
