Description

You will design and implement software for embedded devices and systems from initial requirements through to production and commercial deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, code, test, and debug system software and embedded firmware.
• Analyze and enhance the efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources.
• Integrate and validate new product designs while interfacing with hardware development teams.
• Read schematics and component data sheets to inform software implementation.
• Support software QA processes and provide post-production support.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in embedded systems development.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and Python programming.
• Direct experience programming, running, and debugging with ROS (Robot Operating System) version 1 and 2.
• Experience with ROS node development.
• Experience with autonomous vehicle sensors including EO/IR, Lidar, Radar, GNSS, and Magnetic sensors.
• Direct experience with network-connected video cameras for command and data exchange.
• Experience using CMake.
• Hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets.
• Proven experience with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems (RTOS).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with magnetic sensors.
