Description

Design, develop, and certify safety-critical computing systems and software for airborne equipment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and verify safety-critical software for multicore processors and complex electronic hardware.
• Develop physical and functional ICDs between system elements.
• Conduct MIL-HBK-516C airworthiness assessments and DO-254 or DO-178B/C audits.
• Execute safety-critical thread analysis and safety interlocks analysis.
• Manage software build, load, and configuration management processes for airborne hardware.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in safety-critical computing system, software, or hardware development and certification.
• Deep knowledge of DO-178B/C (SOI) and DO-254 standards.
• Experience with software partitioning and ARINC 653 specifications.
• Expertise in programmable logic, including FPGAs and ASICs.
• Familiarity with FAA CAST-32A, DO-331, DO-332, and DO-330.
• Experience with MIL-HBK-516C and SAE ARP 4754A.
• Understanding of Computer Software Integrity Level (CSIL) and Design Assurance Level (DAL) relationships.
• Competency in MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704F, and DO-160E.
• Knowledge of PLOC and PLOA analyses.
