Description

Develop embedded software for electronic control systems supporting diesel engine programs, owning the process from requirements through commercial deployment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded device software from requirements through to commercial deployment.
• Integrate software libraries to build flash file application releases for engine controllers.
• Configure, integrate, build, and test embedded software on diesel engine systems.
• Verify software requirements in bench environments and troubleshoot system defects using a debugger.
• Analyze and enhance the efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of industry experience in embedded software development.
• 2+ years of professional experience programming in embedded C.
• Proficiency in C and C++.
• Experience with SQL and Visual Basic.
• Working knowledge of Git and ClearCase.
• Ability to read schematics and component data sheets.
• Competency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience with Python scripting.

Preferred Skills

• Matlab and Simulink experience.
• Experience with Trace 32 Debugger, CANalyzer, or Cat ET Service Tool.
• Knowledge of CAN/SAE J1939 protocols.
