Description

You will develop and optimize firmware for reference application processors and future device platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement firmware for reference application processors.
• Develop, test, and debug low-level software on software models, development boards, and shipping products.
• Build software stacks for reference platforms to support future hardware.
• Analyze industry specifications and roadmap requirements to break down tasks and implement project plans.
• Upstream and maintain code within relevant ecosystems.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in C and C++.
• Deep expertise in application and low-level systems.
• Solid understanding of bootloaders and device drivers.
• Strong knowledge of OS fundamentals, preferably Linux.
• Ability to implement new functionality and resolve complex defects.
• University degree in a numerate subject or equivalent professional experience.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with open-source project development cycles and contribution processes.
• Knowledge of software testing techniques and automated CI systems.
• Familiarity with Agile software development lifecycle methods.
