Description

Lead SoC validation, power-performance characterization, and hardware/software debugging for embedded systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Correlate power estimation and measurements with architectural specifications to drive HW/SW optimizations.
• Debug failures and lead validation testing across software, firmware, system hardware, and silicon teams.
• Develop test plans and write low-level driver code for RTOS to configure sub-systems like camera, display, and PCIe.
• Bring up pre-Si prototypes and validate functional and PnP features using bare-metal and RTOS workloads.
• Narrow down system-level failures to subsystem and block levels using debug tools and lab equipment.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in SoC validation and embedded software development.
• Hands-on expertise with C/C++ for bare-metal, RTOS, and Linux environments.
• Proficiency in Pre-Si tools (Synopsys Primetime Power Analysis) and Post-Si tools (National Instruments NiDAQ).
• Deep understanding of ARM CPU architecture, AMBA SoC, boot flows, and initialization.
• Experience with silicon bring-up, board debug, and multi-threaded programming.
• Familiarity with IO protocols: MIPI, PCIe, USB, I2C, SPMI, UART, GPIO.
• Scripting proficiency in Python and Bash.

Preferred Skills

• Background in FPGA Prototyping and Emulation (Palladium/ZeBu/Veloce).
• Experience with RTL Waveforms, Lauterbach, and Transaction-level models.
