You will serve as the crossstream technical authority for the engagement with a leading life sciences customer, owning end-to-end architecture for device stabilization.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own device stabilization architecture, including OS optimization (Yocto, systemd, hardware watchdog) and application dependency removal (Java/ActiveMQ to ZeroMQ or DBus).
• Implement cyclesafe selfhealing logic and chair the crossstream architecture council.
• Produce Architecture Decision Records for all design calls and review/approve designs from Senior Embedded, .NET, Cloud, and DevOps engineers.
• Coordinate with the customer’s technical authority and equipment development teams.
• Partner with the Engagement/Delivery Manager on critical path management and escalations.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Embedded Systems or Solutions Architecture.
• Deep expertise in Embedded Linux, specifically Yocto, kernel-level Linux, and systemd.
• Experience with MQTT message brokers and REST API design.
• Proficiency in ASP.NET Core microservices and containerized service patterns.
• Background in Java and .NET technologies.
• Ability to produce Architecture Decision Records and lead crossstream technical councils.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the life sciences or medical device domain.
• Familiarity with hardware watchdog integration and low-level OS optimization.
