Description

You will support EMC Design Engineering through product testing, lab maintenance, and equipment calibration in the Austin lab.

Responsibilities

  • Execute EMC test plans and debug anomalous results in collaboration with engineers.
  • Prepare technical test reports and communicate data findings.
  • Manage lab bringup, including deployment, installation, and verification of new EMC test equipment and chambers.
  • Perform periodic calibration, verification measurements, and track equipment schedules with third-party partners.
  • Conduct mechanical teardown, re-assembly, and electrical rework including soldering of components as small as 01005.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in testing and debugging prototype consumer electronics.
  • Hands-on experience with EMC test standards including EN55022, EN55032, IEC61000-3-3, and the IEC61000-4 series.
  • Proficiency with lab equipment such as ESD guns, surge testers, receivers, oscilloscopes, SA, VNA, cables, amplifiers, LI SNs, and CDNs.
  • Ability to perform precision soldering and rework on small-scale electrical components.
  • Experience generating technical reports and communicating data to engineering teams.
  • Knowledge of lab maintenance, calibration, and verification procedures.
  • Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with product testing and validation at contract manufacturers or ISO 17025 accredited labs.
  • Experience supervising EMC testing with a focus on quality assurance and process optimization.
