Description

Lead Empower CDS support, consulting, and build services across global operating companies. Own the full lifecycle of Empower upgrades, version migrations, and legacy decommissioning.

Responsibilities

• Manage Empower3 configuration, administration, and project workflows including backup, restore, clone, and metadata handling.
• Develop and validate custom fields and report methods within the Empower CDS environment.
• Author and review validation documentation (IQ/OQ/PQ) for laboratory platforms in compliance with 21 CFR Part 11 and ICH guidelines.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues via IEEE-488, Ethernet, COM, Serial, and e-SATIN protocols.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to scope technical solutions and manage a team of 5 to 6 members.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in laboratory informatics and Empower system architecture.
• Deep expertise in Empower3 configuration, DAC release, DAC build, and instrument component integration.
• Strong understanding of chromatography fundamentals (GC, HPLC, UPLC) and instrument control (Agilent, Waters, Beckman Coulter, Shimadzu).
• Hands-on experience with User Management (LDAP, roles, types) and License Management.
• Proficiency in system/node management and Root Cause Analysis across lab informatics.
• Knowledge of GXP validation, Citrix, and ICOP/ICS installation.
• Experience working in regulatory environments (USFDA, UKMHRA).

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to LIMS, SDMS, and PL/SQL.
• Experience with scientific data migration.
