You will provide engineering support for energy efficiency projects, focusing on savings measures, strategies, and technical calculations.
Responsibilities
Approve technical designs and energy savings estimates for multimillion-dollar projects using technical resource manuals.
Evaluate investment grade audits, engineering design documents, and energy models for accuracy.
Perform technical evaluations during and after construction to verify projects meet estimated savings.
Oversee QA/QC for small and mid-sized projects and manage processes to ensure cost effectiveness.
Interface with vendors, customers, and consultants to maintain program rules and ensure accurate regulatory reporting.
Required Skills
B.S. in any Engineering discipline.
4+ years of experience in technical review of energy efficiency projects or project management of HVAC/mechanical/construction projects in industrial or commercial sectors.
Ability to perform complex energy savings analysis, energy modeling, and measurement and verification data analysis.
Knowledge of commercial and industrial energy savings measures, demand side management, and response strategies.
Familiarity with industry standards including ASHRAE 90.1, IECC, NJCEP Protocols (Technical Reference Manual), and building codes.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and MS Word.
Willingness to obtain Certified Energy Manager (CEM) status within one year.
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Preferred Skills
PE License.
Advanced Excel skills including complex formulas and VBA Macros.
Experience with building energy simulation software such as eQuest, Trace/Trane, or Client.
