Description

You will manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle database servers across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Install, upgrade, and patch Oracle databases to ensure version currency and security.
  • Implement and manage High Availability solutions including RAC, ASM, and Data Guard physical standby.
  • Execute backup and recovery operations using RMAN, Data Pump, and export/import methods.
  • Perform performance tuning using AWR, Explain Plan, and TKprof to optimize database workloads.
  • Monitor database systems, respond to incidents, and conduct root cause analysis for troubleshooting.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
  • Deep expertise in Oracle RDBMS 11g, 12c, and 19c architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with RAC, ASM, and Data Guard implementation and administration.
  • Proficiency in UNIX environments including Solaris, AIX, RHEL, and Linux, as well as Windows.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Experience with Shell scripting (sh, Bourne, or C shell).
  • Competency in managing redo logs, archive logs, and network configurations like listener and tnsnames.
  • Ability to manage large database setups and perform database migrations.
  • B.E, B.Tech, or MCA degree.

Preferred Skills

  • Working experience with AWS Cloud.
