Description

Lead engineering design, validation, and production launch for mechanical components.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects in parallel, establishing commitments and providing regular updates to stakeholders.
• Manage engineering design frameworks, including design reviews, tollgate processes, and requirement traceability.
• Oversee product validation, concept development, down-select, detailed analysis, and production launch phases.
• Handle deviation reviews, disposition of non-conforming parts, and root cause analysis for containment and correction.
• Lead engineering engagement in PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in engineering management and product engineering.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, drawing documentation, and procedure development.
• Experience with fatigue evaluation, life predictions, parent material SN curves, and weld evaluation.
• Proficiency in mechanical components design analysis techniques, including bolted joints, FEA, and CFD.
• Ability to work hands-on in validation and product troubleshooting, navigating progress and addressing roadblocks.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for leadership and cross-functional peer interaction.
• Experience with Autocad.
