Description

Lead an engineering team of 5-8 members focused on user management and platform services in Berlin, Germany.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction, including architectural choices and tech stack decisions for user management products.
• Manage the migration of functionality from a monolithic application to a modern, distributed tech stack.
• Direct resource allocation, development workflows, and product positioning strategies to ensure timely delivery.
• Mentor and coach team members through regular 1-1s to support professional growth and technical excellence.
• Drive CI/CD processes with a strict focus on software quality and operational stability.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience in engineering or technical leadership roles.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Java for backend development.
• Hands-on experience with React for frontend components and Hibernate for data persistence.
• Knowledge of event streaming with Kafka and relational databases using PostgreSQL.
• Containerization and orchestration experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with GitHub for version control and architectural design best practices.
• Strong organizational and facilitation skills to coordinate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product lines.
• Proven ability to manage team processes, tools, and technical delivery end-to-end.

Preferred Skills

• Experience leading recruitment efforts, including interviewing and hiring to build high-performing teams.
• Background in scaling platform services and managing complex technical transitions.
