Description

Lead a 5-8 person engineering team in Paris, owning the technical direction and team growth for user management and platform services.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own technical direction, including architectural choices and tech stack decisions.
• Manage the transition of functionality from a monolithic application to a modern tech stack.
• Direct resource allocation, development, and product positioning strategies.
• Conduct 1-1s, mentoring, and coaching to support team growth and skill development.
• Handle recruitment, including interviewing and hiring decisions to scale the team.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in engineering or leadership roles.
• Proficiency with Python, TypeScript, or Java.
• Experience with React and Hibernate.
• Working knowledge of Kafka and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience using GitHub and GitHub Copilot.
• Strong understanding of architectural design and engineering best practices.
• Proven ability in organizational facilitation and team mentoring.
• KCI/CD processes with a focus on software quality.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with any Graduate education level.
• 1 year tenure in current or previous similar roles.
