- Subcontract Rate: $50/hr.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an Engineering Project Specialist (EPS) to oversee Configuration Management, Bill of Materials (BOMs), documentation, build planning, and vendor coordination for key technologies. This role involves process optimization, operational efficiencies, and supporting the team's development. The ideal candidate is a strategic problem solver who can work cross-functionally, demonstrating strong organizational, prioritization, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, manage, expedite, and process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Manufacturer Change Orders (MCOs).
- Maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs), Approved Manufacturer’s Lists (AMLs), and part numbers across multiple projects.
- Review and approve ECOs while providing necessary feedback to teams.
- Communicate BOM status within the development team, ensuring timely part releases and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to obtain necessary BOM and planning details.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently while tracking changes to support the development cycle.
- Oversee development distribution units for all build phases.
- Perform risk analysis, redlining, and change tracking to support the product development lifecycle.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in engineering project management.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, configuration management, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and BOM structures.
- Proficiency in PLM tools and MS Excel or similar tools.
- Excellent multitasking skills with the ability to manage and organize large quantities of data.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience handling complex BOMs and related documentation.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with large cross-functional teams.
- Adaptability to fast-paced, time-sensitive environments.
- Willingness to provide off-hour support via email, phone, or WebEx when needed.
