Description

Design and own end-to-end architecture for cloud data platforms and GenAI solutions using Snowflake, AWS, and Amazon Bedrock.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Architect cloud data platforms leveraging Snowflake and AWS-native analytics services (S3, Glue, Lake Formation, Athena, Redshift, EMR/Kinesis/MSK), defining target-state patterns for batch and real-time ingestion.
• Design Lakehouse/Medallion architectures and integration approaches between AWS data lakes and Snowflake analytics marts, including modern table formats like Iceberg.
• Guide teams on building robust ELT/ETL pipelines, metadata management, and data quality controls, while establishing best practices for Snowflake performance tuning and query optimization.
• Architect and govern Power BI semantic models, ensuring consistent metrics, enterprise-grade security (RLS, access controls), and lifecycle governance.
• Design GenAI solution patterns using Amazon Bedrock, including Agents, Knowledge Bases (RAG), and safe deployment controls using Guardrails.

Required Skills

• 10+ years in data platform or analytics architecture.
• Deep expertise in Snowflake, including warehouse design, data modeling, performance tuning, and governance.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS analytics services (Glue, Lake Formation, Athena, Redshift, S3).
• Proficiency in orchestration frameworks (Airflow) and transformation tools (dbt).
• Experience designing Lakehouse/Medallion architectures and integration patterns.
• Ability to architect and govern Power BI semantic models and implement Row-Level Security.
• Knowledge of GenAI architectures using Amazon Bedrock (Agents, RAG, Guardrails).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data ingestion from enterprise sources like SAP.
• Familiarity with fine-grained access control and governance integration beyond native capabilities.
