Description

An ideal candidate to lead the end-to-end architecture for a large-scale integration platform modernization program, migrating from TIBCO middleware (BW/EMS) to an AWS cloud-native architecture.

Roles & Responsibilities
The Enterprise Architect will define the target-state architecture, transformation roadmap, modernization patterns, governance standards, and ensure alignment across business, application, data, integration, and infrastructure layers.
The Enterprise Architect (EA) will play a critical role in ensuring high performance, low latency, scalability, and resilience for systems handling high-volume data and event processing.
Drive AI-assisted engineering adoption (such as Cursor AI, Kiro, or GitHub Copilot) to accelerate migration, standardize implementations, and optimize delivery at scale.
Ability to work with multiple stakeholder teams and support digital transformation and cloud migration initiatives.
Qualifications
15+ years of experience in large-scale modernization programs, specifically large-scale integration platform modernization initiatives involving migration from TIBCO middleware or other ESB platforms to AWS cloud-native architectures.
Experience defining end-to-end target architecture for migration from TIBCO to AWS, covering:
Integration patterns (API-led, event-driven, batch, file-based, orchestration)
Application modernization strategy
Data architecture (transactional + analytical)
Platform architecture
Infrastructure architecture
Define architecture principles, standards, and guardrails for cloud-native development.
Design wave-based migration strategies aligned with a wave/multi-pattern migration approach.                                     Qualifications
15+ years of experience in large-scale modernization programs, including large-scale integration platform modernization initiatives migrating from TIBCO middleware or other ESB platforms to AWS cloud-native architectures.
Define the end-to-end target architecture for migration from TIBCO to AWS, covering:
Integration patterns (API-led, event-driven, batch, file-based, orchestration)
Application modernization strategy
Data architecture (transactional + analytical)
Platform architecture
Infrastructure architecture
Define architecture principles, standards, and guardrails for cloud-native development.
Design the wave-based migration strategy (aligned to a wave/multi-pattern approach).
Ensure coexistence between TIBCO and AWS during migration.
Define cutover strategies, including:
Dual-run / shadowing approach
Zero-downtime migration
Rollback mechanisms
Ensure architecture meets:
High-throughput and low-latency requirements
Horizontal scalability
Fault tolerance and resiliency
Experience with AWS services such as:
AWS Lambda
Amazon SQS
Amazon EventBridge
Amazon SNS
AWS Step Functions
Amazon EKS
Amazon S3
Identify and mitigate risks related to:
Migration complexity
Dependency management
Performance bottlenecks
Data integrity
Define contingency plans for:
Rollbacks
Failure scenarios
Production readiness across all migration waves
Strategic thinker with strong execution focus and decision-making ability.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to simplify complex architectures for business stakeholders.
High ownership and accountability with a strong governance mindset and excellent collaboration/teamwork skills.
AWS Certification and hands-on AWS experience are preferred
