Description

You will design and oversee the implementation of technology solutions to modernize public health data systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop a technical roadmap for data modernization aligned with CDC vision and priorities.
• Architect scalable and secure data systems to support public health surveillance.
• Drive solutions to enhance data collection, analysis, and dissemination.
• Provide technical guidance to ensure effective use of modern data technologies.
• Collaborate with the DMI Director, Data Strategy Administrators, and public health stakeholders.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience as a Software Developer, Systems Analyst, or Network Engineer.
• Proficiency in programming languages and database management.
• Experience with system design and networking.
• Knowledge of cloud services and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of cybersecurity measures.
• Ability to lead teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
