Description

You will design, install, and maintain enterprise computing systems and infrastructure platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage AIX, IBM Power, and Linux infrastructure, including hardware, storage subsystems, and platform security.
• Develop and monitor backup solutions, tools, and scheduling to ensure data protection and disaster recovery preparedness.
• Create and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline system administration tasks.
• Document best practices, operating procedures, and guidelines to ensure quality control and standard compliance.
• Execute vulnerability mitigation and security enhancement plans to protect agency systems and provide technical leadership for troubleshooting complex issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise technology environments performing systems design, deployment, and administration.
• Proficiency in IBM Power systems, AIX, NIM, and PowerVM, including HMC and virtualization.
• Experience with enterprise backup strategies, data recovery, and disaster recovery management.
• Knowledge of Dell/EMC Networker, RMAN, and automated tape libraries.
• Proficiency in AIX shells, Linux, and PowerShell.
• Ability to apply critical thinking and enterprise-grade solutions to complex infrastructure problems.
