Description

You will act as the principal engineer for the API Gateways squad, focusing on the development and maintenance of an Envoy-based API Gateway.

Responsibilities

• Build, enhance, and maintain the Envoy-based API Gateway.
• Increase gateway performance and stability.
• Develop new Envoy capabilities by implementing Filters and enhancing a custom External Processing sidecar.
• Provide expert guidance on Envoy configuration and best practices.
• Support API Producers by increasing gateway flexibility.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience.
• Expert-level experience with C++.
• Extensive experience configuring and using Envoy.
• Deep expertise with Kubernetes.
• Experience with performance testing.
• Proficiency in GoLang and/or Rust.
• Ability to work with go-control-plane.

Preferred Skills

• Active Envoy contributor or extensive power user.
