Description

You will evaluate and process incoming data requests and outgoing datasets within the Data Governance team. You own the stability of the Data Request (DR) System and ensure compliance through rigorous risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Data Request (DR) System, including MS Access databases, Excel workbooks, and qualitative/quantitative data visualization.
• Conduct disclosure risk assessments for data requests, presentations, summaries, and reports.
• Collaborate with Core Informatics to create and update the TDH Data Inventory and Data Catalog.
• Gather requirements to implement improvements to current data request systems and storage methods.
• Develop and execute processes for weekly backups of all DR-related files, software, and outputs.

Required Skills

• Proficiency with statistical software including SAS, SPSS, or R.
• Experience with database management using MS Access, SQL, Oracle, or ODBC/JDBC.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working understanding of IT systems and software APIs for connecting to internal and external data sources.
• Ability to apply statistical knowledge to data analyses.
• Competency in data visualization techniques.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Tableau or Power BI.
