Description

Act as the technical liaison for the Post Trade IT team to implement a new equity back office system.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Gather business requirements from operations and document detailed functional specifications for development teams.
• Implement and improve settlement, confirmation, and clearing workflows.
• Manage regulatory reporting processes and remediate data quality issues.
• Develop user test cases, perform IT unit testing, and validate results during user acceptance testing.
• Coordinate project scoping, planning, risk management, and system go-live procedures.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in business analysis within the finance industry.
• Deep knowledge of US broker-dealer equity back office operations, including settlement, accounting, corporate actions, and regulatory reporting.
• Hands-on experience with Broadridge Shadow, BPS, or FIS Phase 3.
• Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries (SQL Server).
• Ability to review source code and read/understand scripts in Windows and Unix (Bash, Perl, or Python).
• Strong analytical skills to identify irregularities in business operations and propose new methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with C++, C#, Python, XML, XSLT, or Excel VBA.
