Description

Manage the lifecycle and integrity of agency Unified Communications (UC) and data networking systems in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support network infrastructure, including data centers, backbones, edge systems, wireless LAN, and wiring closets.
• Manage network security devices such as firewalls, VPNs, network access systems, and web/email filtering.
• Support communications systems including telephony, videoconferencing, and mobile/cellular services.
• Research and implement new technologies, providing risk assessments for capacity, licensing, and high-availability requirements.
• Develop and document best practices, operating procedures, and technical guidelines.

Required Skills

• At least 4 years of experience in enterprise network administration and support.
• 2 years of experience with telecommunications, specifically UC, fax, and voicemail systems.
• 2 years of experience with Cisco Communications Manager and Cisco Unity Connection.
• Hands-on experience supporting Cisco networking equipment.
• Experience with network security technologies including firewalls and VPNs.
• Degree in computer science, computer information systems, or a related field, or equivalent technical experience.
