Description

You will manage the lifecycle of Unified Communications (UC) and data networking systems to ensure efficient agency operations.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer and provide technical support for network infrastructure, including data center, backbone, edge, wireless LAN, and wiring closet systems.
• Manage network security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, network access systems, and web/email filtering.
• Support communications systems including telephony, videoconferencing, and mobile/cellular infrastructure.
• Research and implement new technologies, providing risk assessments regarding capacity, licensing, and high-availability requirements.
• Develop and document best practices, operating procedures, and metrics to maintain quality control.

Required Skills

• At least four years of experience in enterprise network administration and support.
• Two years of telecommunications experience, specifically with UC, fax, and voicemail systems.
• Two years of experience with Cisco Communications Manager and Cisco Unity Connection.
• Hands-on experience supporting Cisco networking equipment.
• Experience managing data center, backbone, edge, and wireless LAN technologies.
• Ability to perform on-call or scheduled after-hours work.
