Description

You will own the design, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise GIS platforms supporting utility operations.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise GIS platforms including ArcMap, ArcFM, ArcGIS Server, and ArcGIS Pro.
• Develop and execute performance test scripts using LoadRunner in Citrix environments to simulate real-world usage and identify system constraints.
• Tune system performance across application, database, and server layers while troubleshooting complex GIS issues impacting end-user experience.
• Analyze performance metrics, system logs, and test results to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, DBAs, and infrastructure engineers to deliver reliable GIS applications.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in GIS system support and engineering, preferably in utility environments.
• Deep expertise in ArcFM, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcMap, and related Esri technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience with LoadRunner or equivalent performance testing tools.
• Solid understanding of performance tuning techniques for GIS platforms and databases (SQL Server, Oracle).
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python (ArcPy) for automation and testing.
• Proven ability to simulate large user bases and analyze system usage to ensure optimal performance.
• Experience working with Agile teams and managing workload with minimal supervision.
