Good to Have Skills: Experience in script tools and code analysis/interpretation. Knowledge of customer exposure systems installation and support. Experience with vulnerability assessment and security issue identification. Coaching and mentoring capabilities for junior analysts. Risk assessment skills with particular consideration for firm reputation and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts to identify and define necessary system enhancements using script tools and code analysis.
• Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues and recommend programming solutions for customer exposure systems.
• Apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications and system implementation.
• Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues while conducting comprehensive testing and debugging processes.
• Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts providing guidance and technical expertise.
• Identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgements to recommend and implement effective solutions.
• Resolve complex issues by identifying and selecting solutions through application of acquired technical experience and established precedents.
• Operate with limited direct supervision while exercising independence of judgement and autonomy in decision making.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert to senior stakeholders and team members providing technical guidance and leadership.
• Assess risk appropriately when making business decisions while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations and ethical standards.

Experience Required: 5 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry with intermediate level experience in Applications Development role. Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills with ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in requirements.

Education: Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
