Description

You will support the organizational Data Strategy and oversee the big data platform, standards, and processes.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2 and L3 support for analytics platform issues and debug day-to-day job failures.
• Maintain service uptime and meet committed SLAs.
• Perform continuous tuning to increase operational efficiency.
• Automate batch processes and design scheduler processes using shell scripts.
• Align architecture with business requirements and promote data engineering best practices.

Required Skills

• 5+ years overall industry experience with at least 4 years in data warehousing.
• 2+ years experience in Big Data or Hadoop platform environments.
• Proficiency with Spark, HBase, HDFS, Hive, Parquet, Sentry, Impala, and Sqoop.
• Hands-on experience with Informatica BDM, BDS, CDC, PowerExchange, EDC, EDQ, or Axon.
• Strong Unix/Linux skills, including networking knowledge and shell scripting.
• Ability to read and debug Python, Scala, or Java programs.
• Experience with GIT and Jira for tool integration and configuration management.
• Advanced SQL knowledge and understanding of distributed computing principles.
• Experience with Cloudera and NoSQL databases.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud big data technologies such as Azure or AWS.
• Experience building stream-processing systems using Spark-Streaming and Kafka.
