Description

Build and maintain high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake and Matillion, ensuring data integrity and optimal query performance.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT processes using Matillion and Snowflake, including warehouse objects, stages, tasks, and streams.
• Write advanced SQL, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and error handling, with a focus on query tuning for large datasets.
• Implement Change Data Capture (CDC) patterns for batch and near real-time data ingestion.
• Develop self-service reporting solutions using BI tools such as OBIEE, Looker, or Power BI.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for ELT processes, including source-to-target maps and technical specifications.

Required Skills

• 12–14 years of total technical experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to ETL/ELT engineering.
• 1+ year hands-on experience with Matillion.
• 3+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience, covering schemas, tasks, streams, stored procedures, performance tuning, and data optimization.
• Advanced SQL proficiency, including complex query tuning and optimization.
• Experience implementing CDC patterns (batch/near real-time).
• Proficiency in BI software such as OBIEE, Looker, or Power BI.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS components in data pipelines (Lambda, storage/services).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to multitask in a team-oriented environment.
