Description

You will design and build data warehouses and ETL processes for multi-terabyte databases.

Responsibilities

• Design and build ETL processes using IBM InfoSphere tools.
• Develop database objects and structures based on project specifications and data flow diagrams.
• Perform SQL and Unix scripting, including tuning and optimization for large-scale databases.
• Analyze data requirements and review logical and physical Entity Relationship Diagrams.
• Address data quality issues and provide onsite support at customer locations.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of IT experience with 5+ years as a Data Integration practitioner.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with IBM DataStage, including clustering architecture and parallel jobs.
• Expertise in combining, sorting, aggregating, and transforming data.
• Experience creating reusable objects, job templates, and scheduling DataStage jobs.
• 1+ year of hands-on experience using XML stage and interpreting XML documents.
• 2+ years of UNIX scripting, FTP, and basic network principles.
• 3+ years of SQL coding, querying, and database/data warehouse design principles.
• 3+ years of experience in testing, debugging, and troubleshooting support issues.
• Proficiency with UNIX/Linux and Windows NT platforms.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DataStage/QualityStage version 7.5.
• Background in application development.
