Description

You will design, build, and optimize SQL Server databases and ETL pipelines for Norfolk, VA.

You will own the full lifecycle of data extraction, transformation, and loading using SSIS, while developing and maintaining interactive reports via SSRS.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize SQL Server databases, including tables, views, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Write efficient, scalable, and maintainable T-SQL queries.
• Build, enhance, and maintain SSIS packages for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Implement error handling, logging, and performance tuning within ETL workflows.
• Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot ETL jobs using SQL Server Agent and SSRS.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in ETL development.
• Expertise in SQL Server database design and optimization.
• Strong proficiency in writing T-SQL queries.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining SSIS packages.
• Experience developing reports and managing subscriptions using SSRS.
• Ability to troubleshoot slow-running queries and ETL jobs.
• Knowledge of indexing strategies and performance tuning.
• Experience with cross-functional collaboration to gather requirements.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data validation, reconciliation, and documentation.
• Ability to provide production support for database and reporting issues.
