You will support the migration and optimization of ETL jobs during a large-scale DataStage software upgrade.
Responsibilities
Migrate approximately 1,700 server jobs from DataStage V8.5 to DataStage V11.7.
Test migrated ETL jobs, ensuring data validation and data integrity.
Fix issues identified during the migration or testing phases.
Performance tune upgraded jobs to ensure load times meet or exceed previous benchmarks.
Create new ETL jobs and update existing ones as required.
Document processes and provide knowledge transfer to staff.
Required Skills
3+ years of experience in a DataStage ETL developer role.
2+ years of experience with Oracle PL/SQL development.
Experience with DataStage V8.5 and V11.7 environments.
Experience working with Oracle 19C metadata databases and Oracle 12C Data Warehouses.
Ability to perform data validation and integrity testing.
Experience managing data transfers from PeopleSoft source systems including Financial Management Solutions (FMS), Human Capital Management (HCM), and Enterprise Learning Management (ELM).
Preferred Skills
Experience with DataStage Server and Parallel jobs, Routines, hash files, and sequences.
Experience with batch scheduling tools such as Automic or Control-M.
Experience developing Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) reports.
