Description
You design, develop, and deploy ETL solutions using IBM DataStage, focusing on scalable batch and near real-time data pipelines.
This role is on-site.
Responsibilities
- Lead migration and modernization of ETL workloads from traditional DataStage to IBM Cloud Pak for Data (CP4D).
- Design and implement reusable ETL frameworks, shared containers, parameter sets, and automation components.
- Perform complex data mapping, transformation, cleansing, enrichment, and validation while ensuring data quality standards.
- Analyze production issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes for data integration challenges.
- Create technical design documents, source-to-target mappings, and operational runbooks in collaboration with Data Architects and QA teams.
Required Skills
- Expert-level IBM DataStage (11.x and above) for ETL design and development.
- Experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Data (CP4D) and cloud-native architecture.
- Advanced SQL and strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and Data Modeling.
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux Shell Scripting for automation and environment management.
- Proven ability in performance tuning and optimization of ETL jobs, databases, and data flows.
- Experience with data migration and modernization initiatives in enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Standups, and Retrospectives.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with enterprise scheduling tools such as Autosys or Control-M.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and automated deployment pipelines for ETL applications.
- Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data lineage.
