Description

Manage and maintain Oracle Exadata engineered systems and associated database environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Exadata machine architecture, including cell nodes, database nodes, and Infiniband/management switches.
• Perform server configuration, patching, and bug fixing across Linux servers and Exadata components.
• Manage storage maintenance, NFS configuration, and ZFS storage.
• Troubleshoot incidents, outages, and performance issues within Exadata and core Oracle database environments.
• Coordinate with field engineers for hardware replacements involving cell disks or grid disks.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Exadata server maintenance and component patching.
• Hands-on expertise with ASM/RAC setup and maintenance.
• Experience managing Exadata architecture, including Cell Storage, ILOM, and Infiniband switches.
• Proficiency in Linux server configuration and maintenance.
• Experience with LDAP, NFS, and server certificate updates.
• Ability to perform performance tuning on Exadata, ZFS, and Exalytics.
• Proven skills in setting up OEM 13c alerts for Exadata and ZFS.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for day-to-day database and infrastructure issues.

Preferred Skills

• Experience driving stakeholder engagement and working directly with customers on sensitive issues.
