Description

Design and build document composition solutions using IBM Exstream, managing the full lifecycle from data extraction to final output delivery.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Exstream templates, handling XML inputs, placeholders, and transaction tables.
• Implement document composition logic for PDF, XML, AFP, and other output formats.
• Optimize output files for size and performance, applying color management (Pantone, CMYK, RGB) and finishing features.
• Script automation and workflow tasks using Bash, C, or Korn shell.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and resolve complex system issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Exstream Composition Tool.
• Deep knowledge of XML, JSON, CSV, and SDF data structures.
• Strong understanding of print streams: PDF, AFP (Line/Mixed/Composed), PCL, and PostScript.
• Proficiency in scripting with Bash, C, or Korn.
• Experience with file encoding standards (ASCII, EBCDIC) and image formats (bitmap/vector).
• Ability to explain complex system behaviors and make decisions based on precedent.
• Education: Any Graduate.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with workflow tools and automation platforms.
• Knowledge of advanced finishing features (booklets, coupons, self-sealers).
