Description

Manage and secure web applications using F5 AWAF and Azure-native security tools while maintaining a large inventory of application delivery controllers.

Responsibilities

• Secure applications from malicious HTTP/S traffic using web application firewalls.
• Execute migrations of applications and WAFs to cloud infrastructures.
• Automate repeatable tasks using scripting and configuration management tools.
• Troubleshoot complex network layer 1-7 issues and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Participate in a high-priority on-call rotation and perform off-hour maintenance during change windows.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience maintaining application delivery controllers such as F5, AVI, A10, or Citrix.
• 4+ years of experience troubleshooting network appliances including switches, routers, firewalls, and proxies.
• 3+ years of experience automating network infrastructure tasks.
• 3+ years of experience supporting cloud native applications in Azure, GCP, or AWS.
• Advanced knowledge of HTTP, SSL/TLS encryption, and DNS.
• Deep understanding of switching, routing, and mitigating OWASP top 10 security threats.
• Experience with F5 ASM (AWAF), LTM, GTM (DNS), and SSLO.
• Proficiency with Azure-based web application firewalls and cloud native tools.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Shape Bot Protection and AVI load balancers.
• Ability to document topology diagrams and Methods of Procedure (MOPs).
