Description

Design and manage network architecture solutions for critical emergency operations across FIRE, EMD, and NYC emergency medical systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop network architecture solutions focused on performance, stability, availability, and cost-efficiency.
• Configure and secure network systems, including routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Assess potential impacts of network changes on emergency operations and coordinate system lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with vendors and project managers to review and refine network architecture standards.
• Deliver senior-level presentations and interface with executive management on technical matters.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of experience in technical application, product, or platform methodologies.
• Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Proficiency with BGP and OSPF protocols.
• Experience with Cisco, Arista, F5, AVI, Palo Alto, and Fortigate technologies.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Certifications: CCIE, Cisco ACI, F5, AVI, Azure, OCI, Network Security Architect, NSE 7, or Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer.
• Experience with FortiGate and Palo Alto security portfolios, ESInet, Core Services, and Class 3 GIS design.
• Knowledge of NENA Standards.
