Description

You will develop healthcare data pipelines and implement interoperability standards within an Agile environment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines for public health and healthcare data using HL7, FHIR, and HHS standards.
• Design and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS for scalable healthcare software.
• Develop RESTful web services using Java and the Spring framework.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and apply research to ongoing development initiatives.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to deliver scalable software.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional experience with strong Java knowledge.
• Extensive experience with HL7 FHIR, HL7 CDA, and HL7 v2.
• Hands-on experience with Spring framework and REST web services.
• Proficiency with AWS services including ECS, IAM, VPC, EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53, S3, API Gateway, and SQS.
• Experience using AWS Lambda, OpenSearch, DynamoDB, Step Functions, and Event Bridge for solution design.
• Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience building pipelines involving vocabulary and HHS data standards.

Preferred Skills

• 3+ years of experience specifically in AWS solution design and implementation.
• Experience developing container-based and serverless applications.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
