Description

You will perform advanced materials characterization and failure analysis using Dual Beam FIB/SEM systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute sample preparation using grinding, polishing, and encapsulation techniques for diverse materials.
• Perform iterative planar polishing to achieve required surface finishes.
• Analyze device structures in three dimensions to identify failure modes and apply fundamental failure analysis methodologies.
• Document findings and present data analysis through Keynote or equivalent reporting tools.
• Manage data analytics and materials management tasks.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in materials characterization or failure analysis.
• In-depth, hands-on expertise with Dual Beam FIB/SEM.
• Proficiency in optical microscopy and various sample preparation approaches.
• Familiarity with SEM/EDS, FTIR, and CT/X-Ray characterization techniques.
• Strong fault analysis capabilities.
• Basic understanding of mechanical assemblies.

Preferred Skills

• Past experience with argon ion milling.
