Description
You will manage field operations, quality control, and technical verification for concrete and structural systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform survey layout, elevations, and dimensional checks for formwork, embeds, anchor bolts, and rebar.
- Review shop drawings, rebar details, and post-tensioning layouts to ensure design conformance.
- Track pour cycles, coordinate ready-mix logistics, and verify compliance with mix designs and curing protocols.
- Monitor field testing including slump, air, temperature, and cylinders, ensuring corrective actions for non-conforming results.
- Maintain detailed concrete pour logs, placement sequences, and testing results.
- Draft RFIs and coordinate with design teams to resolve rebar congestion, embed conflicts, or formwork tolerances.
- Support QA/QC through daily inspections of reinforcement, formwork, and post-tension stressing documentation.
- Update as-built drawings to reflect rebar, PT tendon, sleeve, and embed changes.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of field engineering experience focusing on concrete, foundations, and structural systems.
- Proficiency with survey instruments including total station, GPS, and laser levels.
- Strong knowledge of ACI, ASTM, and PCA standards.
- Experience supporting mass pours, mat foundations, and elevated post-tensioned decks.
- Ability to interpret structural drawings, rebar shop drawings, and post-tensioning installation details.
- Familiarity with curing methods, finishing techniques, and tolerance requirements.
- Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore and BIM tools.
- Experience with scheduling systems.
