Description

You will analyze wireless protocol stacks and device performance within mobile network environments, owning the automation of testing and data collection.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation scripts for testing and data collection using Python, Perl, TCL, LabView, or SCPI.
• Analyze 3GPP 5G NR/LTE/3G feature design and protocol stack performance, including PDCP, RLC, and MAC layers.
• Utilize network test equipment and traffic generators to validate device functionality and connectivity.
• Consume Web and Application Services on Android devices to evaluate connectivity and performance.
• Perform detailed analysis of wireless network architectures and protocol layers using tools like XCAL, QXDM, Wireshark, and QCAT.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of experience in 3G/LTE/5G NR or wireless protocol stack development.
• Experience with 3GPP standards including GSM, UMTS, HSPA, LTE, and 5G NR.
• Proficiency in automation using Python, Perl, TCL, LabView, or SCPI.
• Hands-on experience with network test equipment such as Ixia, Spirent, Fluke Networks, or Spectrum Analyzers.
• Knowledge of PDCP, RLC, and MAC protocol stacks.
• Ability to use protocol analyzers and tools including XCAL, QXDM, Wireshark, and QCAT.
• Experience with device/application development for handset manufacturers or network vendors.
• Degree in any graduate field.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of L1/PHY layers and chipset modem parser development.
• Experience with 5G NSA, CDMA, EvDO, and WCDMA.
• Expertise in system level simulations and wireless modem logging.
