Description

Design, implement, and verify FPGA-based systems for medical devices.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Implement nonlinear and linear filter algorithms and complex mathematical functions using resource-efficient VHDL.
• Develop interface definitions and implementations for peripherals using SPI, I2C, and UART protocols.
• Write and execute simulation test benches to debug VHDL designs and verify functionality on real hardware.
• Collaborate with board design engineers to align on electrical and physical design constraints.
• Define electrical architecture, test criteria, and test plans for development projects.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of technical experience in FPGA design.
• Proficiency in VHDL design and implementation.
• Experience with simulation, synthesis, debug, and hardware integration tools.
• Competency in meeting FPGA timing closure and constraints.
• Ability to implement fixed-point math and utilize FPGA-specific IP cores.
• Working knowledge of GIT.
• Experience with medical device development.
• Experience with Polarfire, Libero, or Synopsis toolsets.
• Knowledge of Python scripting.
