Description

Perform hands-on technical execution and site validation for microwave infrastructure projects.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform site surveys to capture existing conditions and verify project scope.
• Decommission legacy microwave systems, including antennas, radios, IDUs, and cabling.
• Install, align, and test new microwave radios and antennas per approved MOPs.
• Execute commissioning and integration of microwave hops, including RFC 2544 and BER testing.
• Document all work, including photo documentation and close-out packages.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in telecommunications field work (tower, microwave, or fiber installation preferred).
• Understanding of Microwave Systems, IDU/ODU installation, and antenna alignment.
• Ability to climb towers and work comfortably at heights with proper PPE.
• Familiarity with test equipment (Anritsu, spectrum analyzer, path alignment tools, fiber scopes).
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Knowledge of proper grounding, labeling, and weatherproofing of installed equipment.

Preferred Skills

• OSHA 10/30, RF Awareness, and CPR certifications.
